2008 AC21 International Forum
NC State University will host the Academic Consortium 21 (AC21) International Forum July 28-30, 2008.
The theme for the Forum is "University Partnerships: Global Collaboration and Innovation for the 21st Century."
Forum sessions will address three sub-themes:
- International Student and Academic Exchange
- Challenges for Global Higher Education
- Innovation and Technology Transfer
NC State University is a comprehensive university known for its leadership in education, research, and outreach. With more than 31,000 students and nearly 8,000 faculty and staff, NCSU is globally recognized for its strengths in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. www.ncsu.edu
NC State is located in the heart of the Research Triangle region, home of many renowned universities. Research Triangle Park, one of the oldest and largest science parks in North America, is currently home to 157 companies employing nearly 50,000 high-tech workers. www.rtp.org
The Forum will include sessions on NC State's Centennial Campus, a 1000 acre advanced technology community for university, government, and industrial partners. In addition to NC State academic colleges and research centers, institutes, and laboratories, Centennial Campus is home to over 60 corporate and government partners. Centennial Campus named the top Research Science Park of the Year in 2007 by the Association of University Research Parks. www.centennial.ncsu.edu
