Fundamental Activities of AC21
In order to fulfill the objectives of AC21 based on the three pillars "Education", "Research", and "Regional Partnership", all members have agreed to conduct the following fundamental activities:
- Active exchange of students, faculty members and administrative staff
- Shared access to information on research interests and academic activities
- As appropriate, development of cooperative educational programs
- Support of international exchange of culture between local communities
- Holding regularly AC21 International Forums
Programs and projects for the support of these fundamental activities are dynamic and promoted continuously. Their goals can be divided based on the above-mentioned three pillars:
- Education:
- Development of multi-cultural recognition and international sense
- Creation of transdisciplinary/fused human and scientific culture
- Promotion of lifelong education
- Provision of world-class knowledge and human resource development
- Research:
- Development of high-quality, internationally active researchers
- Promotion of international collaborative research
- Creation of international frameworks for technology transfer
- Assisting the development of internationally competitive industries
- Regional Partnership:
- Development of cultural and technological exchange
- Understanding company cultures through international internship programs
- Strengthening of R&D through collaboration of AC21 (associate) members
- Provision of information on legislations, labor, etc. for associate members
