Monthly Report No.18 (Dec. 17, 2010)
Dear AC21 Members,
This is a regular mail out from the General Secretariat to update all AC21 Member Institutions on the events that took place this past month for the AC21. As there were no major events in December, the secretariat has been working hard with Chulalongkorn University preparing for the new Student World Forum and Steering Committee Meeting to be held next year at
Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand.
The events will also include a tour of the campus and facilities at
neighbouring Kasetsart University. The invitations to the Student World Forum will be arriving soon directly from Chulalongkorn University and the invitations for the Steering Committee Meeting will be sent out next week by the AC21 General Secretariat.
This is the first time that we will combine these two important events for the AC21 and we hope that the benefits will be many and lasting. Inviting members to participate in the first part of the Student World Forum gives both the Host University greater opportunity to introduce their institution as well as additionally offering the Steering Committee Members a unique
opportunity to witness one of our most successful and exciting events for students. As the members of the General Assembly are also invited to join each AC21 event as observers, it is also a valuable opportunity, especially for new members, to witness firsthand the types of events that the AC21 organizes and make important visits to other member institutions.
If you have not submitted your online postal questionnaire, please do so as soon as possible so that we may gain a better understanding of the wishes of all of our members. We will be reporting the results at the next Steering Committee Meeting and will endeavour to make some final decisions regarding
a few of the issues.
*Remember that we are still looking for a host for the 2014 International Forum. If there is any interest, please contact the General Secretariat. First Come, first serve!
