Greetings from the AC21 General Secretariat!

Thank you very much for your continued support of AC21 and its activities. The following are updates and some recent news from AC21.

 

 1.       AC21 International Graduate Summer School Update

The AC21 International Graduate Summer School (AC21 IGSS) is one month away. The three host universities, namely, Chulalongkorn University, Kasetsart University and Nagoya University, have been working diligently to prepare for the AC21 IGSS. The keynote speakers and lecturers for the AC21 IGSS are all now confirmed. We are very grateful for the cooperation of the member universities in nominating their distinguished scholars as keynote speakers and lecturers for the AC21 IGSS.

 

We also would like to thank the coordinators of our member universities for nominating students for the AC21 IGSS. The latest program, short biographies of keynote speakers and lecturers and their abstracts can be viewed on the AC21 website.  2.       The Fifth AC21 Working Breakfast at NAFSA 2013 hosted by Chemnitz University of Technology

Chemnitz University of Technology has generously offered to host the Fifth AC21 Working Breakfast at NAFSA 2013 on May 28 from 8:30 am - 11:30 am, at Hilton at the Ballpark in St. Louis, Missouri, U.S.A. The NAFSA 2013 Annual Conference will be held from May 26-31. Please be sure to attend!


 3.       The Fifth AC21 Student World Forum

We are happy to announce that the Fifth AC21 Student World Forum will be hosted by Tongji University from October 16 - 22, 2013 at Tongji University, Shanghai, China. The main theme of the Fifth Student World Forum is “Sustainable Mobility and the City of the Future”. The 11th Steering Committee Meeting will be also hosted by Tongji University on October 16 and 17. The announcement of the Student World Forum from Tongji University will be sent to AC21 Communicators shortly. We hope that all member universities will be able to send their students in order to take full advantage of this great opportunity!

 

 4.       The Seventh AC21 International Forum 2014

We are also happy to announce that the Seventh AC21 International Forum 2014 will be held from April 13 - 16, 2014 in Stellenbosch, South Africa and will be hosted by Stellenbosch University. The 12th Steering Committee Meeting and Sixth General Assembly will also be hosted by Stellenbosch University. Please mark your calendar with these important dates!

 

 5.       AC21 Leaflet and AC21 Newsletter Volume 15

Both the revised AC21 Leaflet and Volume 15 of the AC21 Newsletter are now available online as well as in print. Volume 15 of the AC21 Newsletter should have arrived at your universities. We would appreciate it if you could distribute this Newsletter to the appropriate recipients to keep them informed of AC21 news and its activities.
