Monthly Report No.82 (June 26, 2017)
Dear AC21 members,
Greetings from the AC21 General Secretariat!
The AC21 International Graduate School 2017 is fast approaching and the Gadjah Mada University and General Secretariat are busy finalizing its programs, participants, logistics for the IGS and the Consortium's annual strategic gathering, AC21 Steering Committee Meeting.
Here are some updates and news to share with you.
1) AC21 International Graduate School (IGS) 2017 at Gadjah Mada University
The Gadjah Mada University, Indonesia, will host the IGS 2017 from July 11 to 15, 2017, with the theme "Community and Indigenous-based Technology for Sustainable Development towards Resilience Society".
Over 50 graduate students both from AC21 and non-AC21 institutions will get together at Yogyakarta to participate in the IGS, during which they will learn various aspects of sustainability, especially how it can influence and be influenced by community, through lectures, workshops and hands-on opportunities, such as internships or community services.
If you have any questions, please contact Gadjah Mada University at < email@example.com >
2) Steering Committee (STC) Meeting 2017: A Closed and Paperless Session
The AC21 STC Meeting 2017 at Gadjah Mada University is scheduled on July 10, 2017, one day before the start of the IGS 2017. The Meeting 's documents, including agenda, program and presentation slides, will be provided shortly by the General Secretariat, through an online cloud service.
We would like to remind you once again that the AC21 STC Meeting 2017 at Gadjah Mada University, Indonesia will be held only for STC members, in order to streamline the relevant arrangements and costs, and facilitate effective discussion at the Meeting.
Furthermore, from 2017 onwards, the STC Meeting will be held not only as a closed meeting exclusively for STC members, but also on a "paperless" basis, from the perspectives of time- and cost-efficiencies, as well as of eco-friendliness.
NOTE: STC Meeting attendees are advised to bring their own laptops.
3) AC21 Student Mobility
As discussed at the STC Meeting and General Assembly last year at Chemnitz, Germany, the University of Adelaide prepared a form to collect information from each AC21 university regarding its student mobility opportunities.
The General Secretariat sent out the form to all AC21 institutions last month, requesting to complete and return it by August 4. The information provided by you in this form will be made available on the AC21 website or Monthly Report.
Thank you for your continued support of AC21 and its activities.
If you would like to share news or events with the other members through this Monthly Report, please send them to the AC21 General Secretariat at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
