Dear AC21 members,
Greetings from the AC21 General Secretariat!
Thanks to passion and dedication of Gadjah Mada University, the AC21 International Graduate School 2017 was a great success with highly motivated participants from all over the world.
We would like to share with you some highlights from the IGS.
1) Students get together at AC21 International Graduate School (IGS) 2017
From July 11 to 15, 2017, the AC21 IGS 2017 was organized by Gadjah Mada University, Indonesia, with the theme "Community and Indigenous-based Technology for Sustainable Development towards Resilience Society".
The five-day event saw around 50 graduate students from 11 universities who were keen to acquire broad and in-depth knowledge and understanding of different aspects of the sustainability from scholars and experts through lectures and hands-on experience, such as an internship, community service, etc.
A certificate was conferred by Gadjah Mada University to students who completed the IGS programs.
2) Steering Committee (STC) Meeting 2017
The AC21 STC Meeting 2017 coincided with the IGS 2017, on July10 at Gadjah Mada University.
Discussions at the Meeting include increase in the maximum number of the AC21 Special Project Fund recipients, having more frequent STC Meetings via Skype, and how to develop future research collaboration within the AC21 network.
The minutes of the STC Meeting 2017 will be soon uploaded onto the AC21 website, along with the Meeting documents including agenda/program, a list of attendees.
