Monthly Report No.85 (October 27, 2017)
Dear AC21 members,
Greetings from the AC21 General Secretariat. Here are this month's news and updates.
1) AC21 Newsletter Vol 24
The AC21 Newsletter Vol.24 is out now at:
Please check out our latest issue which features the International Graduate School 2017 hosted by Gadjah Mada University, together with some reports by participating students.
We thank those who contributed articles to this issue.
2) SPF 2018 Application to start shortly
This year's SPF application period will be open soon from November 1, 2017. You should have circulated within your university by now the SPF Guidelines/Application for the 2018 round, which were sent out to all our members at the end of September. They are also found on the AC21 website at: http://www.ac21.org/english/activities/special/
Thanks to our members' support and enthusiasm, the number of the SPF applications has increased each year for the past few years. We look forward to receiving many applications.
(Notes: Please be sure to read the Guidelines carefully before submitting them to the General Secretariat. Not a few applications are found incomplete or non-compliant every year, which are usually adequately completed by the Secretariat or returned with instructions for re-submission, but if there are many non-compliant submissions, we will have no choice but to exercise a strict application acceptance policy.)
3) 1st Steering Committee (STC) Skype meeting
The first STC Skype meeting was held on October 11 from 19:00-20:00 JST. Four STC members attended: Chemnitz, Freiburg, Nagoya and Stellenbosch. The Skype session went smoothly without any technical troubles. Among discussion topics included are the IF 2018 and last year's research survey.
The next Skype meeting is scheduled in January, 2018.
Thank you for your continued support of AC21 and its activities.
