Monthly Report No.30 (August. 27, 2012)
Dear AC21 Members and Partners,
Greetings from the AC21 General Secretariat!
Our August monthly report covers AC21-related news of the last two months (July and August).
1. Visits to AC21 Member Institutions
On July 19th and 20th, the President of Nagoya University, Dr. Michinari Hamaguchi and faculty members visited Chulalongkorn University and Kasetsart University in Thailand. One of the objectives of visiting the presidents/vice presidents of these two universities was to discuss further cooperation among the three host universities (namely, Chulalongkorn University, Kasetsart University, and Nagoya University) for the successful implementation of the new AC21 project, “AC21 International Graduate Summer School”. During this visit, a meeting at the working level was also held, attended by faculty members and administrative staff of the three host universities. We had a fruitful discussion towards the implementation of this new project.
2. AC21 International Graduate Summer School
The AC21 General Secretariat has sent you e-mail messages to ask for your cooperation in recommending keynote speakers and/or lecturers from your universities for the AC21 International Graduate Summer School. As we are still accepting recommendations of keynote speakers and/or lecturers, we do hope that you will recommend some suitable candidates for the success of this new project.
3. AC21 Newsletter Volume 14
Volume 14 of the AC21 Newsletter will be published in October. Please look forward to it! We thank those of you who contributed articles to the Newsletter.
