Monthly Report No.36 (February. 28, 2013)

Dear AC21 Members,

Greetings from the AC21 General Secretariat!

Thank you very much for your continued support of AC21 and its activities. The following are updates and some recent news from AC21.

 1.       AC21 International Graduate Summer School Update

Preparations for the AC21 International Graduate Summer School (AC21 IGSS) are proceeding very well. The details of student applications for participating in this AC21 IGSS have already been sent to the AC21 Communicators of each member university. Each university can nominate up to four students, two students per sub-theme; however, if your university does not have a major related to one of the AC21 IGSS sub-themes, you may nominate up to four students for the sub-theme that you do have a major for. Please inform the AC21 General Secretariat of your nomination by March 17th, 2013. The latest program, as well as short biographies of keynote speakers and lecturers and their abstracts, can be viewed on the AC21 website. Please visit the AC21 website below for up-to-date information about the AC21 IGSS. http://www.ac21.org/japanese/activities/schooling/

The three host universities would like the AC21 Communicator or person in charge of AC21 in AC21 member universities to observe the AC21 IGSS. Please refer to the email sent to AC21 Communicators for detailed information.

The three host universities have also been visiting companies to generate fundraising for this project. We would appreciate it very much if other AC21 member universities could cooperate by generating fundraising for the Graduate Summer School. If you can help, please contact the AC21 General Secretariat (office@ac21.org).
