Greetings from the AC21 General Secretariat!
Thank you very much for your continued support of AC21 and its activities. The following are updates and some recent news from AC21.
1. AC21 International Graduate Summer School (AC21 IGSS)

2. The Fifth AC21 Student World Forum (main theme: “Sustainable Mobility and the City of the Future”)
Details of the Fifth AC21 Student World Forum (SWF) were reported in our AC21 Monthly Report No. 43 and newsletters published by the Tongji University SWF Office (you can access the newsletters from the link below).
We have now uploaded the photos and videos of the 5th SWF 2015 on AC21’s website. Please visit the website from the following link.
3. The Seventh AC21 International Forum 2014 (main theme: Science for Society: Higher Education as Builder of Hope)
An announcement and call for papers for the Seventh AC21 International Forum (IF) 2014 were sent to AC21 communicators from Stellenbosch University and the AC21 General Secretariat on November 5 and 12 respectively. The Forum will be held from April 13 - 16, 2014 in Stellenbosch, South Africa and will be hosted by Stellenbosch University. The due date for submission of abstract proposals is December 6, 2013. We would appreciate it very much if you could encourage your faculty and staff at your university to submit proposals and participate in the IF 2014! The 12th Steering Committee Meeting and the Seventh General Assembly will also be hosted by Stellenbosch University on April 13 and 15, 2014 respectively. Please mark your calendar with these important dates! Invitations to these meetings will be sent to the AC21 communicators of all member universities shortly.
4. AC21 Special Project Fund 2014
As we informed you in our previous monthly report (No. 43), based on the discussions held during the Sixth General Assembly, an increase of the amount of the AC21 Special Project Fund (SPF) per project was approved from the current 5,000 USD to up to 10, 000 USD. This change will be applied from the AC21 SPF 2014. The AC21 General Secretariat sent the revised version of the Guidelines for the AC21 SPF 2014 and the application form to the AC21 communicators of all member universities on October 22, 2013. The deadline for submitting applications is January 31, 2014. We hope that faculty, staff and students of member universities will make the most of this opportunity!
5. AC21 Newsletter Volume 16
Volume 16 of the AC21 Newsletter should have arrived at your universities. We would appreciate it if you could distribute this Newsletter to the appropriate recipients to keep them informed of AC21 news and its activities. The Newsletter may also be viewed online at the link below.
