Monthly Report No.26 (Sep. 28, 2011)
Dear AC21 Members and Partners,
The fall season is upon us and no doubt all members are busy in different stages of their semesters. The following is a brief update of the activities of AC21 activities over the past two months.
5th AC21 International Forum (IF), 2010 Proceedings
By now, all AC21 Members Institutions should have received by post two copies of the printed proceedings from the 5th AC21 IF hosted by Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2010. Two copies have also been sent to each of the 15 contributing authors by post. Please contact the General Secretariat if you have not received copies.
The digital format of the proceedings may be downloaded from our website’s “International Forum” page at:IF2010-Report.pdf
Webpage Updates and Improvements
Our “Summer School Information” webpage has been added to over the summer. Please check out the new programs and updated descriptions available online and help spread this information to your students and faculty.
Details may be found at the following link: http://www.ac21.org/activities/summ_school/index.php
Special Project Fund (SPF):
The newly amended “SPF Guidelines and Application Form” have been added to the AC21 website (PDF) in order to facilitate easier access to information, as well as to increase application numbers from all members. Universities now need only direct interested faculty to our website to download the application at their leisure. Past successful project titles and participating universities may also be viewed online. Basic application procedures remain unchanged. The official SPF invitation letter will be sent out in the next few weeks. Stay tuned!
If your university has an online education program and would like to include a link or any additional information on the AC21 webpage, please let us know.
AC21 Communicator Network List:
I am always interested in keeping our AC21 contact list up to date and as accurate as possible. Please remember to send the General Secretariat a note to indicate any recent staff or faculty changes.
The General Secretariat has successfully registered AC21 with the UNAI (United Nations Academic Impact) Program as a “Partner Organization”. We encourage all other members to register.
