News & Updates


(1) Steering Committee (STC) Meeting 2019: Washington D.C. (USA)

On May 28th, 2019, the AC21 General Secretariat held the 17th STC Meeting 2019 in Washington D.C. (USA). The half day meeting agenda included a progress report for the upcoming International Graduate School 2019, and fruitful discussions which were centered on strategic planning for future AC21 activities. Meeting minutes for the STC meeting will be shared shortly with member universities.


(2) Updates on AC21 International Graduate School (IGS) 2019 at Stellenbosch University, South Africa

The AC21 IGS 2019 at Stellenbosch University, South Africa is just around the corner. As previously announced, the event will be held from July 12th -21st, 2019, under the theme “Invasion Science for society: hands-on experience of environmental, social and economic impacts of alien species”. Final participants were announced on May 21st from Stellenbosch University.

(3)  AC21 General Secretariat attended NAFSA 2019

The AC21 General Secretariat also attended NAFSA at Washington D.C., USA from May 27th -30th. We had fruitful meetings to exchange views and information with our AC21 members along with some non-member universities. Thank you very much for taking the time out of your busy schedule to meet with us at NAFSA!
